Our Story
Wife and husband team Kyra and Robertson Hartnett founded twenty2 over two decades ago, and debuted their first collection of modern hand-screen printed wallpapers in 2003 at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City. Their launch- and subsequent collections introduced over the next decade- helped usher in a revival of an age-old design tradition.
With the goal of facilitating the artistic expression of their fellow interior designers and artists, the Hartnetts established their private label, digital wallpaper manufacturing business in 2013. twenty2 has since produced some of the most beloved, inventive wallpaper collections on the market. 2020 marks the launch of a digitally-printed textile division.
The twenty2 wallpaper + textile factory and grasscloth studio is located in Bantam, CT.
